Christmas Snow Central Park, New York City

Those living in the New York area may recall the heavy snow that began late afternoon on Christmas day in 2001. Well it kept snowing all night so I got up before dawn to capture the first light of the day in Central Park. It was a slippery, toe numbing, isolated hike to get to this spot. Glad I did it.

Boredom? Contemplation?.....

The incomparable "TOTH" performing under the Trefoil Arch at Central Park, NYC. His audience was sitting at the top of the steps, so I went around to the other side of the arch to capture this silhouette. The object he was swinging makes a low haunting sound, especially in the tunnel. A documentary about this interesting fellow won an Academy Award a few years ago. His "prayformance" is impossible to describe, but interesting to watch and photograph.
